Hi --- just a quick note after our 2008 reunion dinner.

It was a wonderful night, described by many, as one of our best ever. We had a great turnout. Even though we had 6 or 7 cancel the last day for various reasons (mainly temporary health problems) and several from our probable list did not attend, there were still 90 for dinner and 5 for drinks only. (see the list below) There were only five or six who attended for the first time.

There wasn’t anything extra special about the night but many commented about the relaxed feeling & the smiles on everyone’s faces throughout the whole evening. The band was fantastic & was really enjoyed by everyone. Jack Foote commented on how well they played & their great choice of songs from our era.

Amazingly, we had 3 teachers attend, Mr.Nick Purdue (who will be 90 in August), Mr. Bill Withrow & Mr. Jack Foote.

I spoke a little about how our reunion dinners started & how another chapter will begin next year as the Old Scott House is closing. The committee will do our best to find another location that suits most of our needs. The 50/50 draw was won by Ted McGuirl, who generously contributed $ 50.00 of the $ 255.00 he won to help cover our costs. It was greatly appreciated.

I also mentioned that our website had been visited, quite amazingly, over 9800 times. When Russ Strathdee asked how many had email, there was a showing of hands by approximately 60 people. When he asked how many had visited our website only 15 – 20 indicated they had.
