Bio:

When Ronnie North was 19 years old, he started his career as a singer playing concerts throughout the south with musicians such as "The Monkees", Neil Diamond", "Percy Sledge", "B.J. Thomas", "The Boxtops", Kenny Rogers", and many more. It always amazed the crowds how a white boy could sound and dance so much like the famous entertainer James Brown. After signing a recording contract, Ronnie was well on his way to fulfilling his dream. Unfortunately, Ronnie had a horrific diving accident, which resulted in a broken neck that put his career on hold for over 25 years. He was in a coma for over two weeks and when he regained consciousness, he was told he might ever walk or dance again. After spending over a year in the hospital, Ronnie was dismissed weighing a mere 87 pounds. He struggled through therapy and with the inspiration of James Brown and many other famous entertainers, he was finally able to perform once again.

God has blessed Ronnie in many ways, one of which is to perform "Doin' The James Brown". He would like to dedicate these recordings to GOD, the late Lillian North, Doctor Lamar Murray of Waynesboro GA., the staff of University Hospital, located in Augusta Georgia, and most of all Archie Jordan, of Perkins GA., who wrote and produced "Doin' The James Brown", as well as John Barker of Barker Productions in Wake Forest NC. who produced 8 of the songs on this cd. Dr. Soul is on his way back....
